My journey begins with my first business. That being a WordPress plugin (SAAS business) that has already made all of its money back in 2.5 years. This business cost me $5,000 and has very little operating expenses.

My next acquisition was a quarterly subscription box business. This money broke even in 1.5 years. I was able to fix the COGS and made the business more profitable. Biggest challenge for this business has been growing the customer base and getting more subscribers. This business cost me $12,000.

My next business was an Amazon FBA business. I only have 1 product and this business has broken even in 1.5 years. I got this for a good price and the biggest challenge has been keeping ad spend and amazon fees down. I paid $12,000 for this.

My 4th acquisition was a digital product shopify store. This store has basically zero operating cost outside of shopify subscription and one plugin. The biggest challenge for this business has been sales. AI has competed with this business and slowed sales down. This is still profitable and making thousands a year. I paid $27,500 for this.

Next we have my first app! This was purchased in the Summer of 2024 for $17,000. This was an overpay and the sales started to slow down. I am still profitable, just a slower path to making my money back.

Following the app was a KDP account with over 20 titles. This was my biggest loss. This was my biggest loss because I expected to make my money back in 3 years and I think 6 now is more realistic. The sales started out good but dropped after a few months. One of the main sellers was blocked when I bought the business and the seller did not disclose that. My biggest challenge has been making profitable ads. I know how to approach these businesses differently moving forward. I paid $28,000 for this.

KDP

My last acquustion happened in April 2025, this business is a WOO Commerce business that has downloadable products. I have already made 15% back in 4 months. I am very happy with this business. I paid $14,000 for this.
